The Faces of Bélmez

October 31st, 2008 by Sirius Lee

It being Halloween and all, I thought it would be appropriate to post something about the paranormal and the supernatural.

A Belmez Face

The Faces of Bélmez is considered the most important paranormal phenomenon in the 20th century by many parapsychologists. Beginning in 1971, images of faces continuously and unexplainably formed and disappeared on the floor of the Pereira family’s home in Bélmez de la Moraleda, Jaén, Spain. An excavation conducted underneath the house revealed human remains, which were removed and interred elsewhere. However, this did not stop the faces from reappearing.

Two more Belmez Faces

These faces have been frequently photographed by the local newspapers and curious visitors. Many Bélmez residents believe that the faces were not man-made, leading some investigators to attribute the phenomenon to a thoughtographic manifestation unconsciously caused by the owner of the house.

A few more Belmez Faces

Is this a case of psychokinesis or a genuine communication from the afterlife of a few tortured souls? Watch the video and judge for yourself.
