I love this one. Master Maitreya is here somewhere in the US having been living in England for a bit. That picture is beautiful. Thank you so much for posting this. One of my favorites is The Path which I have from The Theosophical Society. I am a computer dunce and have no idea how to bring it up or if it is somewhere to bring it up.

I'll see if I have any luck tracking this down. If I do, I'll put it up on this thread.

The Path by Reginald W. Machell. Pic courtesy of the Theosophical Society American Section.

Inscribed on a wooden disk attached to the lower left corner is the following verse:

Quote:
If Wisdom thou wouldst gain, Be Strong, Be Bold, Be Merciful. But when thou hast attained Then let Compassion speak. Renounce the Goal, Return to Earth A Saviour of mankind

A 14" x 17" full-color reproduction of this work is available for purchase here.

Thank you so much. I love this picture, I have had my little one for over ten years. When life gets tough I sit and look at it and it gives me comfort.

When I first saw "The Path", I thought it was one of the images on the Aleister Crowley Thoth Tarot Deck. Looks like I was wrong about this.

Nevertheless, it floors me every time I see it. :)

No no. It is the path that one takes from mortal physical being to immortal spiritual being through many incarnations and trials by fire. It is my touch stone and it is what I am working towards through the help of my Masters.

Great post, unicorn. I'm been meaning to add these to the thread, but it looks like you beat me to it.

Ooops, my bad! Sorry about that, Lady Dunsany. What I meant to say is that the style is similar to that of Lady Frieda Harris, who was responsible for the art of the Crowley Thoth Tarot.

I had to come back and just stare at all this beautiful Art. The energy that is flowing from the pictures is incredible. You could go into trance just staring at each picture. The Creatrix is unbelievable just knocks one out.

When I first saw it before I bought it I asked my teacher what in the SAM hill it was and was it part of Crowley also. Once I got it home and spoke to her about it , everything made sense. Theosophy though is kin to Hermetics, Alchemy as well as Western and Eastern teachings In a sense it could apply to Crowley in a way.
